Lifestyle Recommendations:

Eat every two-hours. Do not eat carbohydrates alone, always eat with protein. Vegetable protein from peas, beans, lentils, and nuts are recommended. Avoid trans-fats. Minimize fruit juices. Eat enough salt (unless on a salt-restriction diet in cases of heart and/or kidney disease. Drink plenty of water. Minimize Omega 6 cooking oils (i.e. safflower, sunflower, soybean, and cottonseed oils).*
